The body of a 17-year-old boy was pulled from the Monongahela River early Saturday, hours after he disappeared near the Glassport sewage plant, according to multiple reports.
Allegheny County authorities located the body of Benjerman T.N. Coleman of McKeesport around 1:45 a.m., more than 5 hours after he went under the water and did not resurface, according to a Pittsburgh Tribune-Review report.
Search and rescue crews used drones and boats to search for Coleman, who disappeared in water about 12 feet deep, CBS Pittsburgh reported.
Authorities found his body in the area of Harrison Street near the Glassport sewage plant, about 10 feet from where he was last seen, reports said.
The teen’s adopted mother told CBS Pittsburgh that Coleman was with his girlfriend and her parents when he disappeared. She also said the boy could not swim.
